This Christmas snack is a blend of crunchy snacks like your favorite cereal, pretzels, mixed nuts and m&ms coated with white chocolate. It is a centerpiece for holiday parties, a kid-friendly Christmas snack, and a versatile blend of crunch, sweet and savory that caters to everyone's festive spirit.
In a large mixing bowl, combine Chex cereal, pretzels, nuts, and Christmas M&M's. Toss the ingredients together until evenly distributed.
In a microwave-safe bowl or using a double boiler, melt the white chocolate and coconut oil together. Stir occasionally to ensure smooth melting. Be careful not to overheat.
Pour the melted white chocolate mixture over the dry ingredients in the large bowl. Use a spatula or wooden spoon to gently fold and coat all the ingredients evenly.
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Spread the coated mixture onto the parchment paper in an even layer. This allows the mix to cool and harden.
If desired, sprinkle festive colored sprinkles over the mix while the white chocolate is still wet for a decorative touch.
Allow the Christmas Chex Mix to cool and set completely. You can speed up the process by placing the baking sheet in the refrigerator for about 15 minutes.
Once fully set, break the mix into bite-sized clusters. This step creates a satisfying mix of textures in each handful.
