Ingredients in Birthday Cake Bliss Balls

  • Almond Flour: Serves as the base ingredient for the cake balls and provides a soft, and crumbly texture, It’s also gluten-free.
  • Cashew Butter: I like using an all-natural cashew butter or even almond butter for these birthday cake bliss balls. It’s creamy, mild and helps bind the ingredients together.
  • Maple syrup: Pure maple syrup adds flavor and sweetness without the need for refined sugars.
  • Vanilla Extract: It gives the bliss balls that classic birthday cake flavor.
  • Sprinkles: Dye-free natural sprinkles are used to add a festive touch to the bliss balls, giving them that classic birthday cake look. These sprinkles are typically made from natural ingredients and are free from artificial colors and additives, making them a healthier option for decorating.
  • Optional Add-ins: Tiny Sprouts Superseed Nutrition Boosters, flaxmeal, hemp seeds or vanilla protein powder.

How to Make Birthday Cake Bliss Balls

Combine the wet ingredients: In a bowl, mix together the cashew butter, maple syrup and vanilla extract until smooth.

Add the dry ingredients: Mix in the almond flour and any add-ins (I like to add Tiny Sprouts Superseed Nutrition Boosters with Vitamin D, Probiotics and Vegan Omgea-3 DHA)

Add the sprinkles: Mix some of the dye-free sprinkles into the dough.

Form the bliss balls: Once you have a nice dough, take small portions of it and roll them into balls between the palms of your hands. The size of the balls us up to you, but aim for bite-sized portions that are easy to handle but big enough to not be a choking hazard.

Add more sprinkles: (this step is optional) – Pour the dye-free natural sprinkles into a shallow bowl or plate. Roll each bliss ball in the sprinkles until they’re evenly coated. This will give them that classic birthday cake look!

Chill: Place the bliss balls on a baking sheet or plate lined with parchment paper, and then transfer them to the refrigerator to chill for at least 30 minutes. Chilling helps the balls firm up and hold their shape.

Serve and Enjoy: Once chilled, your birthday cake bliss balls are ready to enjoy! Serve them as a snack, pack them in lunchboxes, or save them for a special occasion like a birthday party. They’re perfect for any time you’re craving a sweet and wholesome treat.
