Cajun Shrimp Pasta

8 oz penne pasta
1 lb raw shrimp
1 tsp salt
1 tsp black pepper
1 tsp smoked paprika
1 tsp cajun seasoning

2 tbsp unsalted butter
4-5 cloves garlic, minced
½ cup chopped onion
½ cup chopped red bell peppers
½ cup chopped green bell peppers
2 cups heavy whipping cream
2 cups shredded parmesan cheese
1 tsp smoked paprika
½ - 1 tsp cayenne pepper
2 tsp dried thyme
2 tsp cajun seasoning


  1. Cook pasta until al dente.
  2. In a bowl, add cleaned shrimp, salt, pepper, paprika, and cajun seasoning. Rub it all together.
  3. While the pasta is cooking, cook the shrimp and set it aside.
  4. In the same pan, add the butter, garlic, onion, and bell peppers. Sauté for about 3 minutes or until fragrant.
  5. Add heavy whipping cream and bring to a boil. Then add paprika, cayenne pepper, dried thyme, and cajun seasoning.
  6. Add shredded parmesan cheese to the mixture and stir until cheese is melted entirely.
  7. Add salt and pepper to taste if needed.
  8. Add the cooked pasta and shrimp to the sauce.
